Abstract

The main goal of the paper is to propose some ideas on the social, cultural and historical processes underlying the birth of the Degree in Psychology in the University of Padua. In particular we were interested 1) in detecting the characteristics of the students who decided to enroll in the Degree, from the beginning of the activation; 2) in recognizing the attitudes of the teachers about the interests and motivation of the students. The data were compared with those obtained from a Degree in Sociology, the development of which is similar to the Psychology Degree
