Abstract

Music for films spread widely both in the era of silent films, and later, obviously, with the advent of talking movies. What is interesting to observe, however, is the difference between the two types of film music; and the importance music has in movies; this allows the author to formulate an analysis, supported by various citations, of the theory and history of film music, which is undoubtedly a key element in this study.
