Abstract

Through an analysis of the link between the «sacred» and what is «perturbing» in human life (Freud and Bataille), the essay considers the recent return of the religious on the public scene of politics. The Author suggests that new religious demands are not anti-modern forms, but an expression equal and opposite to the «consecration of superfluous» which characterizes the contemporary ways of production and represents the new form of religion of what is disorienting for man.
