Abstract

The Author takes the recent italian translations of some works by French sinologist and philosopher François Jullien as a starting point. The East becomes in Jullien's reading our 'otherness', i.e. what is outside Western metaphysics, a thought which doesn't know either separation on ontological difference. Through the study of the concepts of space, time and sense, as they are conceived in China, Jullien analyses in-depth which is the fault of Western philosophy: the impossibility of going beyond the gap between truth and non-truth.
