Abstract

The War theme can be found in the genealogical researches lead both by Foucault and Agamben. The publication of all the Foucauldian courses at the “Collège de Franceµ and the conclusion of the Agambenian series about the “homo sacerµ allow to place the “Warµ paradigm in two different ways within the above-mentioned philosophical trails: in Foucault, the “Warµ model is placed in a central position and then it is gradually set aside, while in Agamben it follows the opposite procedure of the centralization. The present article examines the sense of these two different ways to treat the same concept and its deepest meaning inside the philosophical works of the two authors, also in the light of their most recent publications.
