Abstract

Mirko Alagna, Pierpaolo Ascari, and Marco Bontempi discuss Bruno Latour’s Où atterrir. Comment s’orienter en politique, recently translated into Italian. Alagna proposes a reading of the text as unexpectedly and problematically «critical», enhancing the intuition of the cahiers de doléances. Ascari critically discusses the concept of «modernity» and «social» in Latour, arguing that his vision is exaggeratedly monolithic and unitary, as evidenced by his interpretation of Marxian fetishism. Bontempi underlines how Latour considers essential to reorient scientific and political practice beyond modern coordinates.
