Abstract
Starting from the new Italian edition of Walter Benjamin’s book on the German Baroque drama, the contribution underlines the crucial meaning of the singular physiological «and» historical anthropology – then historical-political –, outlined by the German philosopher and indicates its relevance when it will develop in a sense more properly referable to the lesson of historical materialism.
