Abstract

The city of Milan is engaged in the process of sustainable transition. Since 2014, supported by Fondazione Cariplo, the Municipality defined and approved a specific and transversal policy focused on the local food system, the so-called Food Policy. Structured into 5 priorities, 16 guidelines and 48 actions, Food Policy is demonstrating food’s potential in transitioning territories and systems towards sustainability and in achieving 2030 Agenda’s Goal.
