Abstract

Climate change has consequences on the profitability and the value of enterprises due to its physical impact and the effect it has on traditional business models, determined by the current technological, regulatory and market transformations. There is growing evidence of such changes, and, at the same time, rising concern of investors. A recent study conducted by Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei investigates the strategies, the processes and the tools that a sample of Italian firms employs to evaluate, manage and communicate climatic risks.
