Abstract

Dreaming about others as they are not today: the new generations who are the protagonists of a sustainable future. The massive challenge of making our society fairer and more sustainable in 2030 inevitably relies on those who today are aged between 20 and 30. What kind of strategies can we imagine to free the potential energies of the younger generations and to allow them to actively contribute to building a sustainable future? Results from the latest research on youth and the observation of emerging experiences of innovation from the bottom up, give some indications of a possible answer. When they are put in a position to act, the young demonstrate to be the best actors in the change they want to see happen in the world.
