Abstract

Cornelio Ghirardelli's treatise offers several research issues: the contribution examines the ancient and modern sources of Cefalogia fisonomica, sources consequently used and/or cited by the author presenting thus books and manuals of a physiognomic library. The contribution emphasizes the importance of repertoires that play an important role of mediation in the 17th century.
