Abstract

Against recent and less recent simplifications, this article aims at proving that Euclides of Megara was an authentic Socratic, although in shaping his ethics he drew on a certain number of Eleatic theses. Such theses confer an ontological fundament to Socrate's main ethical principles which, on the other hand, within an ontological context inevitably change their theoretical features.
