Abstract

The paper introduces the roundtable held in Palermo (April 2016) on Francesco Viola and Isabel Trujillo's book "What Human Rights Are Not (Or Not Only). A Negative Path to Human Rights Practice" (2014). Firstly, the paper underlines the content and the methodology of the discussed book. Furthermore, some relevant questions are deepened: the social practice of human rights, the link between human rights and 'practical reason', the divergence between "prima facie" rights and final rights.
