Abstract

The paper describes the results of a research conducted in the city of Macerata in 2013 and the follow-up in 2018 to detect the presence of common designs of primary schools and non-profit associations in integration of pupils of foreign origin. The aim is to define possible forms and methods of cooperation between the two actors taken into consideration, highlighting resources, limits, co-planning prospects and the possibility of strengthening the actions implemented to support integration processes. Investigating specific actions such as learning programs, school integration, linguistic support, relationships with families and any shared projects, the research reveals a framework of collaboration that is still weak and suggests a range of action in which the dialogue on common educational programs could strengthen the cooperation between these two important organizational players.
