Abstract
The paper presents the analysis of an autistic child who, together with the analyst in session, composed music and melodies that, over time, punctuated and rhythmed the shared narratives. The author follows the thread of Rilke’s text Notes on the Melody of Things as a metaphor for the patient’s evolution in «being initiates of life», which she sees as a form of healing.
