Abstract

The text takes into consideration the beginning of Cornelio Fabro’s academic activity in the Italian university system. In the first part, the research focuses on the national competitions in which Fabro participated to obtain the free teaching and the ordinariate in Theoretical Philosophy, together with other distinguished philosophers of the twentieth century, bringing to attention the judgments that the commissions had on his first works. The second part is dedicated, instead, to the first academic appointment that Fabro obtained at the Magisterium «Maria SS. Assunta» (now LUMSA) in Rome until its transfer to the Cattolica in Milan, first, and then to Perugia.
