Abstract

In a previous article of mine (titled Il ‘Morgante’, l’ ‘Orlando’ e Andrea da Barberino) I thought I had shown that the Orlando is only a poor imitation of the Morgante. Yet, a number of valuable Pulci scholars still claim that this is not the case. I thus provide what I consider to be further unquestionable evidence to prove that the Orlando was written after the Morgante. In doing so I also try to confute some of the opposite statements by those esteemed Pulci specialists.
