Abstract
In the introduction to the debate in the context of the Conference dedicated to the intellectual and scholarly profile of Umberto Romagnoli, the author focuses on the studies that Romagnoli devoted, during the 1970s, to the relationship between trade unions and the lawsuits. From these studies emerges the originality of a thought that will find its full development in the following decades
