In four thematic sections the work deals with the influences of Hegel's thought on main categories elaborated by Giovanni Gentile and Carl Schmitt in their political philosophy. Each of these sections underlines one of the questions in which continuity and discontinuity relationship develops between Hegel and these authors. The last section clarifies the fundamental complexity of Hegel's influence both in Gentile and Schmitt political philosophy, stressing particularly the main difference between the philosophical conceptions and the "Weltanschauung" of these philosophers.
