Abstract

Now long unencumbered by any traces of rhetoric in its approach, research on the Risorgimento allows wide opportunities for in-depth study and interpretive insights as part of an overall reading of Italian history. From their different study backgrounds in distinct fields of inquiry, Carmine Pinto (University of Salerno), Roberto Regoli (Pontifical Gregorian University), Gabriele B. Clemens (Universität des Saarlandes), and Barbara Bracco (University of Milan Bicocca) compared notes on the state of health of the history of the Risorgimento
