Abstract

This essay aims to deepen the use of confinement and deprivation of political rights in the system of the so-called «sanctions against fascism». That state of affairs was short-lived, due to the intransigence of the Ministry of the interior, which wanted to reiterate confinement like in the past regime. This led to a tug-of-war with the Ministry of justice, which ended in a doubling of responsabilities. Through the vicissitudes of two different commissions, it is possible to observe the drift of de-fascistization and the contradiction of the forces that aspired to renew the country in the aftermath of World War II.
